Kings

I'm quite unhappy that this show is not being picked up for another season. It is one of the few shows on Television that requires that the viewer actually think. It has twists and more twists. The acting is incredible. I didn't know an hour long show could have so much Drama in it week to week. The tension is always high and the dialogue is exquisite. Very Shakespearean.
I suppose they had to make more room for Celebrities doing moronic things in a Jungle, and shows with more boobies.... /sigh.

Selfishness

I believe it is human nature to be selfish and it not necessarily a bad thing. Part of our natural instinct to achieve and protect ourselves. The problem is, that when you have to interact with other people it can be difficult to maintain your own selfishness and not step on the selfishness of others. We can only truly control ourselves and can only push ourselves towards our goals. It is indeed a fence that one must walk on, sometimes we stumble and we might hurt others. Sometimes we walk that line perfectly. It is not a bad facet of the human way. If we didn't have such a tendency, we would not ever grow and succeed, or find happiness. But it is a line that must be cautiously walked. I think if one is conscious of this, it makes those decisions easier.
