Christmas
Despite everything Christmas turned out pretty well. Would have been better with my abject stupidity. C'est la vie. Can't fix the past, just the future. Hopefully things turn around real soon.

Haven't shopped yet. Ugh.
Christmas is the most stressfull time of the year. But it will be worth it when the kids open their stuff. At least that's what I keep telling myself :) Trying to get moving on actually acquiring the presents now.

phases
Children go through lots of phases as they grow and learn. I've been through most of them with the older 2 kids already. But this one... geez. My toddler refuses to wear clothes. At all. I go check on him in the night and there he is. Completely naked. He's watching TV for a bit, naked. He's playing Legos in his room, naked. Which wouldn't be much of a problem honestly, except he takes his diaper off.

Another week
Here's to a good week. The past few haven't been anything to write home about, it's the Holiday's. Time to start having some good times. Although, Thanksgiving Day was good. My family came over and it was wonderful. So I will have to amend that, there was one good time in there.

Here's to hoping I don't get a case of the Monday's today...
Another new week for things to happen. Hope they are good things!

Luxembourg
I've never looked into this country before, didn't really know anything about it. Kind of a cool little country when you read up on it. Oh, and you need to check out the Tourism site, and watch the video, just for the awesome music.http://www.ont.lu/index.php

Sci Fi Channel
They sure are a pain in the ass sometimes. I don't like their "mid-season break" plan. It would be nice to see Eureka again.

sigh
What I miss about the East Coast: Deli's. There is no good food in Arizona unless you want Mexican. Now, on the other hand, there is no good Mexican food on the East Coast. There has to be a place where they have both. I must find it and move there. In the meanwhile, I'd take a good hero sammich, but alas, there are none.... :(
Oh, and Pizza. I've been eating a sad substitute for real pizza for 5 years now. Sigh.

repetitiveness
When a toddler finds something they enjoy, they definitely have the theory of : if one is good, 100 must be great. Wall-E is a permanent fixture on my television now. Thank God I like that movie.

Too Damn HOT
It's the middle of November. I refuse to run my A/C because ITS THE MIDDLE OF NOVEMBER. It's 83 degrees in my house. WTF!?!
Sometimes, I really really hate Arizona.

Hardest part
I am starting to believe that the hardest part of parenting is figuring out why your child doesn't understand what you are saying. It makes perfect sense to any adult, but for some reason the kid doesn't get it. How to re-explain it in a fashion where it makes sense.....that's not easy to figure out.
Oh, and potty training a boy is ridiculous hard.

oh noes!
Well, I have been lax on posting due to the fact my oldest son, it's official, has the Chicken Pox.
So much for the vaccine huh? Hopefully, the vaccine worked on my other two children or else this house may become quarantined by the State...

over reacting
People sure do over react about every little thing now a days. If a kid hiccups too much, they have you pick up from school and take them home. My daughter banged her head on the playground last week. There was no bump, bruise, blood or anything. I actually got a phone call from the school nurse to let me know, and a note home. When I was a kid, if it could be bandaged you went back to class and got to explain to your mom why you had bandages when you went home.
Now, I don't blame the schools per se. They are terrified to get sued if anything happens. I blame society in general, with our over use of warnings and protecting against any tiny little thing. You can't cushion everything, can't prevent everything that could possibly cause harm. Kids will get hurt. It's how they learn not to do that again.

toddlers
He has figured out how to take all of his clothes off, this does not bode well for me. Why are children nudist's?

Well, it's not as cold as it should be, but at least it finally isn't hot here. It's a gorgeous 68 degrees right now. I'm loving it.

want vs. should
Today is one of those days, where I think, hmmm.... I should start playing WoW again, that would be fun. Then I remember that I would just be pissed at myself after wasting 3 hours and 15 dollars. So I don't.
Bugs
There is nothing I hate more than bugs. Spiders, mosquitos, ants, any kind. I actually have nightmares of being inundated with bugs. Ick.

What's in a name?
So, you may have wondered why I named my blog Tenacity. You might not have wondered and really don't care and are just hoping that I say something pithy and funny. At any rate, it is named as such because I feel this one of the values most missing in society today. People give up at the sign of nearly any hardship. I am trying to instill this value into my children. It's amazing what you can accomplish if you just keep at it. This is not a post about the current President-Elect by the way, just an observation. Since most of Americans are wasting away in a cesspool of apathy, a little effort can go a long way. I refuse to think I can't anymore, or it's too much work, or it's too hard. All that means is that it might take a bit longer. I can become far more than I am. And I will.

WTF California?
You pass the bill for rights for Chickens, but deny rights to the gay/lesbian community? Chickens?! Really? Oh, and I know Arizona passed a similar stupid law, but I voted against it. I expected as much from Arizona, but I thought California would do better.
Nutella
Why don't more people know about the wonders of Nutella? It's way better than peanut butter or jelly.
Mornin'
Today started a bit rough. The kids seem cranky this morning. I am tired. Even the cat is acting weird. Onto my second cup of coffee, lets see if I sort myself out.

About me
Since this is the first post, (not my first blog btw) I will give a small description of myself. I am 33 years old. I find more "gray" hairs every day. I have 3 children (whom I deem the cause of the said "gray hairs") and 1 very cool husband (he loves me no matter how much I annoy him). I also have 1 cat, an orange tabby. I am somewhat unfulfilled in my life, and am currently working to resolve that. I was born in Hayward, CA. I have lived in Fresno, CA, Glendale, AZ, New York, NY (during both 9/11/01 and the infamous blackout), Lincoln Park, NJ and am currently in Mesa, AZ. I am of Italian and Prussian decent as far as I can tell. I am stubborn to the death. I love art, literature, rock climbing, swimming, and computers (yes this is generic - we'll get to that later). I cry at sappy movies, and laugh at black comedies. I miss the dog we used to have. I am hopefull for a bright future for my kids. I missed blogging, so here I am again.
